Funeral services for Elizabeth Selden, 90, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. W.S. Doug Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Selden died Sunday (Dec 28, 1997) at Trinity Valley Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1907 in Troup to Morgan and Elizabeth Fuller Sivia. She was a receptionist for Dr. Pete Kolstad for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was the pianist for the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Selden; brother, Morgan Maris Sivia and Robert Sivia and a granddaughter, Cindy McReynolds. She is survived by sons, Jack K. Selden Jr. of Palestine, Dr. Lawrence Selden of San Antonio and Donald Eugene Selden of Cedar Park; brother, Harry Sivia of Dallas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Selden, Jr., Rush Alton Selden, John Kevin Selden, Pete Kolstad, Bob Burroughs, Harry Selden Jr., Bob Herrington and Worth Andrews.
