Memorial services for Glen H. Woolverton, 72, of Neches, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 4 at Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Woolverton died Wednesday at a Palestine nursing facility.  He was born May 3, 1933 in Anderson County to A.H. “Spurs” and Ruby Woolverton.  Mr. Woolverton was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Claude Allen Woolverton and an infant sister.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Johnson Woolverton of Neches; sons, Staff Sgt. Chris G. Woolverton and wife, Lillie Ann of San Antonio, and John Allen Woolverton of Neches; daughters, Gale Ann Sinderud and husband C.R. of Katy and Mary Linda Woolverton and fiancée Ferlin Blood of Longview; brothers, Gene P. Woolverton of Tennessee Colony and Don H. Woolverton of Tennessee Colony; sister, Wilda Rose of Cocoa Beach, FL and grandchildren, B.J. Gotte III, Jeffery Gotte, Brad Gotte, Kaylynn Woolverton and Carter Glen Woolverton.
