Services for Jessie A. Williams, 87, of Tennessee Colony will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tennessee Colony Church with the Rev. John Wisener officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mrs. Williams died Saturday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
She was born September 15, 1921 in Anderson County to Samuel and Alice Gore Graham. Mrs. Williams was the owner of the Tennessee Colony Store for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palestine. Mrs. Williams was also a 50 year member of the Tennessee Colony Eastern Star No. 102 where she served as secretary for 34 years.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Williams, Sr., in 1999 and daughter, Carole Luevano.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Richert of Texarkana, sons, Jack “Butch” Wiliams, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Tennessee Colony, Frank Lee Williams and wife Sheri of Huntsville, a sister-in-law Ruth Williams, Palestine,; two nephews, Billy Stanley Graham, Tennessee Colony, Frederick Eugene Graham, Henderson,; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carlton Allen, Steven William, Ryan Tolliver, Jeremy Thomas, Paul Richert, Joseph Richert, Chad Williams and Larry Rogers.
Honorary pallbears will be Jack Thornton, Tommy Marr, W.L. Wilbanks, Harold Hudson and Phillip Richert.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tennessee Colony Church Building Fund or to the Tennessee Colony Community Center.
