Services for Paul K. Phillips, Jr., 76 of Fort Worth and formerly of Palestine wil be at 1 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Sam Cox officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herring Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Phillips died Tuesday at his home in Fort Worth after a lengthy illness. He was born in Pasadena on September 26, 1921, to Paul K. and Gertrude Blakney Phillips. Mr. Phillips graduated from Palestine High School and Texas A&M. He was a Lutheran.
Mr. Phillips retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Fort Worth area as a safety engineer. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Phillips of Fort Worth; daughter, Phyllis Phillips Adams of Fort Worth; brother Pete D. Phillips of Palestine; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
