Services for Ella S. Lunsford, 85 of Lake Palestine and formerly of Palestine were at 4 p.m. today at Burks Walker Tippit Chapel with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating.  Burial was at Broyles Chapel Cemetery near Palestine.  Mrs. Lunsford died Sunday in Tyler.  She was born March 14, 1912 in Palestine.

Mrs. Lunsford graduated from Palestine High School in 1923 and Nixon Business College.  She was a member of Cedar Street United Methodist Church and the Tyler Rose Chapter of the Loyal Star Lodge.  She was a retired administrator for R.L. Caton Insurance Co., where she worked for 35 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver C. Lunsford, in 1995.

She is survived by a son, Jerry C. Lunsford of Bedford; brother, Hugh F. Stanaland of Tyler, and two granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Robert Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Steve Gentry, Joey Gentry, Doug Moore and Claude York.
