Danny Walker Sumrall, 70, of Athens, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Athens; two sons, Jerry Dan Sumrall and Jeff Sumrall, both of Athens; and a daughter, Karen Smith of Athens; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also is survived by two brothers, Doug Sumrall of Palestine and Herald Sumrall of Buffalo; sister, Mary Wall of Duncanville; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens, Texas
