Services for George W. Hudson, 79, of Tennessee Colony, will be at 2 p.m. today at Tennessee Colony Church with Dr. Tom Brittain officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.  Mr. Hudson died Friday night at Palestine Healthcare.  He was born October 31, 1922 in Palaestine to William Mase and Mamie Iva Scarbrough Hudson.

Mr. Hudson retired from the Coffield Unit of Texas Department of Criminatl Justice in 1993.   He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of the Tennessee Colony Cemetery Association.  He was active in the Tennessee Colony Improvement Association.  He was preceded in death by brother, Fagan Hudson, in 1970.

Mr. Hudson is survived by sister, Lucile Woolverton of Tennessee Colony; one nephew and four nieces.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hudson, Don Woolverton, Hugh Dublin, Stanley Graham, Tucker Farris, Jr., and Jack Williams, Jr.
