Fagan R. Hudson, 45 of Tennessee Colony, died unexpected at his home early today. Native and lifelong resident of Tennessee Colony, he was born December 7, 1924 to Mrs. Iva Scarbrough Hudson and the late W.M. Hudson. A member of the Christian Church, he owned and operated the Hudson Grocery store at Tennessee Colony, and formerly served in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He was a 1940 graduate of Palestine High School.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Tennessee Colony Union Church with the Rev. R. C. Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery, with arrangements by Hassell & Foster Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tucker Farris, Darwin Link, Billy Jack Bryan, James Bryan, Jack Williams, Frank Carroll, J.A. Winkel and Joe Satterwhite.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ellon Crossley Hudson; a son, Mack Hudson of Tennessee Colony; three daughters, Mrs. Judy Trammell of Terrell, Misses Martha and Mary Jean Hudson, both of Tennessee Colony; his mother, Mrs. Iva Hudson of Palestine; a brother, George W. Hudson of Tennessee Colony; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Woolverton of Tennessee Colony.
