Services for Harvey W. Holmes, 77, of Rye, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tennessee Colony Community Church with interment to follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.  Mr. Holmes died Saturday.  He was born September 25, 1924 in Tennessee Colony.  Mr. attended Tennessee Colony and Palestine schools and Texas A&M University.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He sold auto parts, and was a painter and paint contractor.  He was preceded in death by son, Harvey W. Holmes, Jr.; and brother, Connie Holmes, Jr.

Mr. Holmes is survived by sons, Charlie Holmes, Mark Holmes, James Holmes and Lloyd Megallion; daughters, Norma Palcono and Shirley Burleson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
