Margaret Jeanne Calcote Helms, 85, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 in Houston,  Jeanne was born in Tennessee Colony on January 25, 1923 to Charles Riley and Edith Avant Calcote.  Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melford “Mel” W. Helms in 1999.

Jeanne leaves behind her daughter, Linda Helms Whittredge and grandson Ryan Carson Cummings to cherish her wonderful memories.  A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 8 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Library of Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 9th at 11 a.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

The family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Jeanne’s memory.
