Services for Thomas Michael “Mike” Pennington, 47, of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Dean Easterling officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.

Mr. Pennington died Tuesday night at Palestine Regional Medical Center.  He was born October 27, 1953 in Palestine to Thomas Marvin and Louise Walker Pennington.   Mr. Pennington graduated from Palestine High School in 1972.  He was a computer torch operator for Union Pacific Railroad and a member of the Carman’s Union.  He was a member of Walston Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents of Palestine and sister, Sheila Riggs of Longview.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bridges, Jesse Honeycutt, Charles “M.C.” Dempsey, Mike Blackmon, Troy Gross and Lynn Gross.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Palestine Car Shop.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
