Funeral services for Dorothy Lee (Dottie) Dow, 84, of Tennessee Colony will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Herrington / Land of Memory Chapel with Dr. Edward Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Tennessee Colony Cemetery.  Mrs. Dow died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Palestine on November 12, 1926, to Nealy Dean and Clara L. Gibson Shaver.  Mrs. Dow had lived here most of her life.  She was a homemaker and an avid gardener.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings; and her husband, John Dow Jr. in 2009.

Survivors include her son, Dr. John Dow III of Elkhart; daughter, Diane Dow of Tennessee Colony; and 2 grandchildren, John Dow IV and Jeb Dow, both of Elkhart.

Pallbearers will be Donald Shaver, Randy Shaver, Jason Helms, John Dow IV, and Jeb Dow.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
