Funeral services for John L. Carroll, 19, will be Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Colony Church with Rev. Joe S. Berry, Pastor of the First Christian Church of Palestine officiating.

He was born December 29, 1926 in Tennessee Colony to Burkitt & Ila Woolverton Carroll.  He died February 19, 1946 in Rotterdam, Holland while serving as a merchant seaman.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burkitt Carroll of Tennessee Colony; a sister, Mrs. Joyce Rogers of Lexington, Mississippi
