Services for Carol Lynette Burkhead Barfield, 47, of Elkhart will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the REv. W.E. Shiflet officiating and Earl Socia delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery.

Mrs. Barfield died Sunday at Trinity Valley Medical Center.  She was born in Palestine on December 1, 1947, to Charlie Barney and Ella Mae Newton Burkhead.  She was a secretary for the Texas Department of Ciminal Justice.

She is is survived by her husband, Leland Barfield of Elkhart; and sisters Lois Ingram of Palestine and Dorothy Adair Gunter of Gholson.

Pallbearers will be Rickey Adair, Steven Gonzales, Bill Carroll and Beri Smith.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
