Services for Charles Richard Calcote, 60, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating.  Burial will be in Tennessee Colony Cemetery.

Mr. Calcoate died Saturday at Wilford Hall hospital at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.  He was born January 11, 1930 in Tennessee Colony to Edith Aveant Calcote and Riley Calcote.  At the time of this death, he was office manager for Hickman Olds-Cadillac.

He was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant with 20 years service, including during the Korean Conflict.  He was a Baptist, a member of Palestine VFW Post 3907 and the Air Force Sergeant’s Association.

Mr. Calcote is survived by his wife, Roberta Hopson Calcote of Palestine; daughter, Diane McQuate of Palestine; son Riley Bruce Calcote of Fort Eustis, VA; his mother, of Palestine; sisters Jean Helms of Houston and RoseMary Kendrick of Athens; and three grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Hickman, Ken Moody, Bill Kelly, Charles May, Dale Martin and Paul Hinijosa.
