Billy Joe Beckwith as born October 29, 1933, in Anderson County, Texas, to Buster B. and Mattie Minton Beckwith.

Billy Joe graduated from Palestine High School in 1952 and later from the University of Texas and became a lawyer.  He spent most of his years after college in California.  He moved back to cneches during the 1980’s and died of complications from diabetes.

He is buried in the Neches Cemetery.
