James Harry Denson was born in Palestine, Texas on June 10, 1933 to Harry Denson and Lottie Denson (Caskey). Jim passed away on Feb. 9, 2010 in Huntsville, Texas at age 76.

He is survived by his wife Ramona Denson (Cunningham); son, Mike Denson and wife Patty; grandson, Steven Denson; granddaughter, Catherine Denson; sisters, Barbara Summerlin and Merle Lokey and husband James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death a son, James Robert Denson; and parents Harry and Lottie Denson.

James was owner/operator of an Exxon service station in Pasadena Texas.  He was an avid golfer and had a great passion for woodworking/woodturning. His easy laugh and smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas. His remains will be interred at Strong Memorial Cemetery in Slocum, Texas at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 .

In lieu of flowers memorials should be given to the Children’s Ministry at University Heights Baptist Church, Attention: Sarah Rogers, 2400 Sycamore Avenue, Huntsville, Texas 77340.
