Funeral services for Charles James Lightfoot, 84, of Magnolia will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Lightfoot died March 7 at his residence.  He was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Charles and Amy Crowder Lightfoot.

Mr. Lightfoot was raised in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired technical engineer.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ethelee Juliana Lightfoot, on Dec. 14, 2007.

Mr. Lightfoot is survived by his sons, Charles Lightfoot of Garland and Terry Lightfoot of Georgia; daughters, Christy Potter of Huntsville and Melody Lightfoot of Magnolia; brother, Cecil Lightfoot of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Condolence calls will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
