Services for C.E. “Jack” Eaton, Jr., 85, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sam Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine City Cemetery.

Mr. Eaton died Friday night at his home. He was born May 18, 1923 in Palestine to C.E. Eaton and Edith Straub Eaton.Mr. Eaton was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad and retired after 44 years of service.Mr. Eaton was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by four daughters, Lynn Calcote and husband Jack, Connie Denton and husband Frank, Irl Gray and husband Randy, and Sara Minton and husband Billy; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Denton, Coleman Gray, Matthew Gray, Edward Minton, Braden Minton and Eaton Calcote.

Honorary pallbearers will be Proctor Moore and Robert Humphrey.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home.
