Services for Christene Scarborough of Bradford will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Southside Baptist Church with Lee Evans and Wes Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine. Mrs. Scarborough died Tuesday at her residence.
She was born January 6, 1942 in Anderson County to Voddie and Lucy Lambright Arnold. Mrs. Scarborough was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a teacher of the Lydia Class. She taught school at Palestine Independent School district and retired from Cayuga Independent School as an elementary teacher. Mrs. Scarborough was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Wanda Evans.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, E.G. Scarborough, Jr. of Bradford, a son and daughter-in-law Mark and Ginger Scarborough of Corsicana, three grandchildren, Madisen Scarborough, Morgan Scarborough, and Grant Scarborough and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Earl Scarborough, Paul Outlaw, Edwin Bowman, Stephen Evans, Peter Massey, Ray Arnold, Gary Holcomb, Dr. Rick Webb, Bill Shead, and Murray Holcomb.
Honoray pallbearers will be Todd Winkle, Frank Henry, Mack Hilton and Leland Musick.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
