Dewey Hamilton “D.H.” “Smokey” Davis was born June 19, 1941, in Palestine, Texas. He passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011.
Visitation will be at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Opelousas, Louisiana on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jessie Margaret Pavy; sons, Glen and wife Paula of Menlo Park, Calif., and Greg and wife Karen of Seattle, Wash.; granddaughter, Dana Marie; and grandson, Alexander Lee of Menlo Park, Calif.
“Smokey” was a graduate of the University of Houston. He was an avid outdoorsman and Texas Longhorns fan.
