Services for Carolyn Diann Hassell Laney, 53, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Neches Cemetery with Chester Mayo officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Herring Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mrs. Laney died Sunday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.  She was born March 16, 1947 in Palestine to John Harley and Myrtle Shaid Hassell.  Mrs. Laney was a lifelong resident of Palestine.  She was a housewife and a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Laney of Palestine; son, Jerry Laney, Jr. of Palestine; and sister, Bonnie Pursch of Neches.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
