Services for Byron Marshman, 85 of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Monday at New Addition Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Rousseau officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Marshman died Saturday at Memorial Hospital.  He was born April 29, 1908, in Palestine to William and Rose Beiser Marshman.  He worked as a seismographer for Texaco Oil Co. and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Mr. Marshaman was a member of First Christian Church, the Men’s Bible Class and the Men’s Garden Club of Palestine.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Patrick Marshman of Palestine; daughter, Jan Conant of Houston; sister, Lucille Haney of Palestine; brother, Larry Marshman of Florida; and two granddaughters.
