Services for Vonolga Laverne Todd Roberson, age 76, of Neches are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel and Dale Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Neches Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mrs. Roberson passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 23, 1935, in Palestine to Comer and Velma Shaw Todd. Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Marla Shoulders and Amy Roberson; son, Jeff Roberson; special family friend, Brenda Gray; granddaughter, Kimberly Shoulders; great-granddaughter, Alexis Birch; and former husband Lamar Roberson, all of Neches.

Pallbearers will be Gary Briley, Henry Baker, Van Brown, David Sparks, Lance Lamb and Guy Lamb. Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Roberson, George Elrod McIntyre, Tim Milliken and Frank Morton.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Ashigbi and the nursing staff at Texas Oncology, and the doctors and nurses of Hospice of East Texas for the kind and special care that was given to Mrs. Roberson during her illness.
