Memorial services for Harlan Lowell Cook, 36, of Arp will be held at 3 p.m.
Saturday in Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine with Danny Rodriquez
officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Cook died Jan. 23 at his home in Arp, after a long struggle with cancer. He
was born Aug. 8, 1973 in Palestine to Lowell (Tony) and Janet Cook. Mr. Cook
was a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry and served in Kuwait after Operation
Desert Storm. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Nursing at
Tyler. He had been employed with Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and East
Texas Medical Center in Tyler as a registered nurse. He was an enrolled
tribal member of the Citizen Potawatomi Indian Nation of Oklahoma. He was
preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Lowell and Mary Cook and Jack
Nadeau Sr.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dana Heil Cook of Arp;
son, Lance Cook of Palestine; brother, Chris Cook and wife, Leslie and children
Caroline and Carter of Humble; sister, Catherine Cook of Lake Charles, La.;
grandmother, Kathryn Nadeau of Abilene; aunt, Courtney Cook Bell of Palestine;
and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Colorectal Research Fund of the
American Cancer Society.
