Services for Eva Herod, 48, of Liberty City will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Liberty City with the Revs. Bruce Wells and Ronn Herod officiating.  Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in the Parker Cemetery in Grapeland.

Mrs. Herod died Tuesday in Tyler.  She was born June 11, 1958 in Palestine.

Mrs. Herod graduated from Palestine High School. She was an accountant and had worked for Otis Engineering, PABCO and Astro Air. Eva was a member of First Baptist Church Liberty City.

Mrs. Herod is survived by her husband, Terry Herod of Liberty City; daughter, Amy Taylor of Palestine; son, Josh Herod of Liberty City; step-son, Ronn Herod of Springfield, Mo.; stepdaughter, Jodi Herod of Bryan; parents, Joe and Linda Magallanez of Palestine; two sisters, Teresa Smith and Elisa Morgan of Palestine; brother, Joe Magallanez Jr. of Palestine; three grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
