Services for Henry Preston Morris, 37, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Herrington/Land of Memory with the Rev. Otis Felton officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Bradford.

Mr. Morris died Wednesday at Trinity Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born May 27, 1952, in Palestine, a son of H.J. Morris Jr. and Hallobee White Morris. He lived in Palestine all his life and graduated from Palestine High School in 1971. He was an engineer for Union Pacific for 17 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Linda Morris; son, Scott Morris; daughter, Prissy Morris; sisters, Marilyn Starr and Margo Riddle, all of Palestine.

Pallbearers will be Fred Smith, Charles Starr, Barry Chronister, Randy Glenn, Steve Johnson and Kenneth Riddle.
