Barbara Elaine Odom Hancock, 73, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 in Round Rock, Texas after losing her long struggle with COPD.
Born July 10, 1936 in Hillsboro, Texas she made her home in Palestine until moving to Round Rock in 2005. She was a 1954 graduate of Palestine High School and was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church. She was employed for many years as a teller with the Royall National Bank making lasting friendships with both coworkers and customers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Faye Odom. She is survived by her children, Janet Elaine Moore Miller of Desoto, Texas; Jonathan Scott Hancock and wife, Laura Hancock of Round Rock, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Scott Miller of Desoto, Texas; Amanda Faye Hancock of Round Rock, Texas and Whitney Elizabeth Hancock of Georgetown, Texas and her great-granddaughter, Paityn Elaine Hancock of Round Rock.
A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel in Palestine.
