Services for Etta Lu Brooks Ritchey, 64, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Ross Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.

Mrs. Ritchey died January 8, 2003 at the Home Place in Tyler.

She was born October 30, 1938, in Montalba to Ernest and Hester Johnson Brooks.

Mrs. Ritchey was a Baptist and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, R.B. Brooks and Huey Brooks.

Mrs. Ritchey is survived by her husband, Paul Ritchey of Palestine; son, James Alan Ritchey of Houston; sisters, Joy Tippen and Doris Selman, both of Palestine; brothers, Earnest J. Brooks of Elkhart and Clarence Brooks of Paris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Brooks, Robert Brooks, Dave Brooks, Terry Atkinson, Tim Atkinson and David Ritchey.
