Garland Morton went to be with his Lord on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the age of 67.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Pearline Morton; and brother, Joe W. Morton.

He is survived by his loving family, Shirley; daughter Kim and son-in-law Mike Powell; stepdaughter, Samatha Franklin; one granddaughter, Jennifer; one brother, Alvin Morton; four sisters, Gertrude Metzler, Frances Evans, Marilyn Tippen and Carol Johns; and many nieces and nephews.

He resided in Houston, Texas. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 10567 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas Donations will be taken to Paralyzed Veterans of America in memory of Garland Morton (1-800-555-9140).
