Burial for Ray Read was January 24, 1992, Greenwood Memorial Park, Ft. Worth, Texas.  He was the son of Ray Weldon and Margaret Sutton Read in Palestine on December 05, 1938.

He married Glenda Goodger April 21, 1962, in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Ray received his Navy Wings on March 24, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Ray and Glenda adopted Shawn David Read, born August 31, 1969, in Ft. Worth.
