Services for Larry Milbert Rowland, 53, of Spring, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Elkhart with the Revs. Darwood Galloway and Bud McGee officiating. Burial will be at Guiceland Cemetery under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Rowland died Saturday in Houston after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Palestine on July 7, 1939, to Royal Edward and Addie Mae Britton Rowland. He was a 1957 graduate of Palestine High School amd a 1962 graduate of Sam Houston State University. He had lived in the Houston area for 30 years and worked as a real estate appraiser for Couch Mortgage Company. He was Baptist.

He is survived by his mother of Montalba; his wife, Linda Mosley Rowland of Spring; son, Ben Rowland of Spring; daughter, Laura Rowland of Houston; brother, Eddie Joe Rowland of La Porte; and one granddaugher.

Pallbearers will be Ed Patillo, Ed CHapman, Bill O’Neal, Hugh Dublin, Ronnie Burton and Charly Michalk.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
