Funeral services for Charles Hugh Linn, 45, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Lynn Parker officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery.
He died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a brief illness.
Mr. Linn was born December 27, 1937, in Palestine, a son of the late C. H. Linn and Virginia Areta Morris Linn.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Palestine Noon Lions Club. A 1956 graduate of Palestine High School, he served in the Navy. Before returning to Palestine in 1981 to operate Charlie’s Western Wear, he worked for the LaDew Sprinkler System in Dallas and the Masco Sprinkler System in North Little Rock, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Dublin Linn, of Palestine; a son, Charles Linn Jr. of Palestine; two daughters, Sandy Linn and Betty Catherine Linn, both of Palestine and a brother, Jack Linn of Wenatchee, Wash.
Condolence calls will be received at the Linn residence, 311 Palm, Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Henry Link, Tony Dressell, Jon Gregg, Charles Griffey, Greg Gaines and Johnny Williams.
