Services for Ranny Sublett Mallard McLain, 65, of Palestine will be at 3 p.m. December 8, 2003 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.

Ms. McLain died in her home Monday, November 17, 2003. In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated.

She was born December 8, 1937 in Anderson County to Bud and Amelia Sublett.

Ms. McLain was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Bud Sublett; and brother, Buddy Ray Sublett.

“Fluff” is survived by her sister, Emalie Tuschoff; and son, Ronald Mallard.

An avid cat lover, she always had room for “just one more”. To her family and friends she will long be remembered in this way. Care of her pets has been assumed by the Anderson County Humane Society and her close friends.

Ms. McLain was most recently employed at Southwest Hills Veterinary Clinic. Her dedication to animal welfare led her to volunteer with the Anderson County Humane Society for many years. She graduated from Davy Crockett High School in 1956 and lived in the Palestine area for most of her life.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Anderson County Humane Society.
