Services for Glenda Minshew, 62, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Palestine City Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Neal officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Minshew died Monday at her residence.  She was born May 6, 1938, in Dallas to Glenn Freeland and Helen Green Swift.  Mrs. Minshew worked as a legal assistant for 25 years in Palestine. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Minshew in February; and brothers, Bill Swift and Hal Swift.

Mrs. Minshew is survived by sons, Brian Briggs of Palestine and Brett Briggs of Lafayette, La., and two grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Earnest Swift, Judge Jerry Calhoon, Judge Bascom Bentley, Jeff Warrington, Stewart Gaines and Johnny Gaines.

Condolence calls will be received at the residence or by calling.
