Services for Lena Mae Dickey, 91, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church with Dr. Tom Rousseau and the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.  Burial will follow at Broyles Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mrs. Dickey died Tuesday, December 22, 1998 at Cartmell Home for the Aged.  She was born August 8, 1907 in Yoakum to Henry Clarence Wilson, Sr. and Marion Alice Porter Wilson.

Mrs. Dickey was a 1924 graduate of Palestine High School.  She was retired from William George Produce as a bookkeeper.  She was a charter member of the Harvey Woman’s Club, a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and a member of First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Dickey, in 1982; brothers, John Raymond Wilson and Robert Porter Wilson and a sister, Doris Lowe.

She is survived by daughter, Margaret Sue Cobb of Addison; sons, Jim Dickey of Lake Frankston and David Dickey of Marietta, GA; sisters, Louise Nicholson and Gene Johnson, both of Palestine; brother, H.C. “Fritz” Wilson, Jr. of Fort Worth.

Pallbearers will be Howard Dickey, Chris Dickey, Jim Patton, Benjamin Dickey, Glenn Lowe and Douglas Lowe.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Geoerge, Don Davis, Kent Gordon, Murphy George, Jesse George and Frank George.

Condolence calls wil be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cartmell Home for the Aged.
