Services for the Rev. Michael Krist LaGrone, 24, of 907 Vernon Street, Wayland’s Allison-Conkwright Apts., Apt. 1, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church of which he was pastor. Officiating will be Dr. Carlos McLeod, and Dr. Kirk Patrick, professor of religion at Wayland Baptist College. Graveside rites will be held Monday morning in Laurel Land Cemetery at Dallas. Wood- Dunning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. LaGrone graduated from Wayland in May of this year. He moved to Plainview in August 1972. Born Oct. 31, 1950 in Jacksonville, Rev. LaGrone graduated from Palestine High School in 1968 and attended Henderson County Junior College. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving four years in the U. S. Navy. He and the former Ann Craig were married Dec. 28, 1970 in San Diego, California.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Andrew Craig LaGrone of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Evans of Carthage, Mrs. Karlynn Speed of Waco and Kimberly LaGrone of Groves; one brother Kerry LaGrone of Groves; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry LaGrone of Tyler; and his grandfather K. T. Bellew of Dallas.
