Services for Gary S. Patrick, 53, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Revs. Donnie Howard and Dwayne Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mr. Patrick died Sunday at Hospice Home Place in Tyler. He was born July 18, 1950 in Navarro County to Bill Patrick and Doris Spence.
Mr. Patrick was a guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Bassett Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Bass Patrick, in October, 2002.
Mr. Patrick is survived by his father, Billy G. Patrick of Slocum; mother Doris Spence of Palestine; daughter, Seana K. Pak of Arlington; son, Chip Patrick of Tyler; brothers, John R. Patrick of Houston, Darrell G. Patrick of Tyler and Scott Patrick of Slocum; grandchildren, Andru Pak and Paige Pak, both of Arlington; special nephew, Gage Bass of Palestine; and loving mother-in-law, Jo Bass of Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Richard Bass, Val Bass, Chad Bass, Bo Mason, Tong Tak, Tommy Allbritton, Chris Hobson and James Currington.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends from the Powledge Unit.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
