Palestine High School Alumni Association

Services for Donald R. Morton, 49, of 500 Shamrock Dr. will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park.

Mr. Morton died Tuesday in a Tyler Hospital. He was born February 2, 1936 in Matador, Texas, the son of Marshall and Mrs. Nora Pack Morton.

Mr. Morton was an emergency medical technician, a board member and trustee of the Westside Assembly of God Church and a CPR instructor. He owned and operated an income tax service and he constructed custom window screens.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Knight Morton; daughters, Cynthia Morton Kludt and Jeannie Morton Linam, both of Palestine; brothers, M.P. Morton of Palestine and M.L. Morton of Santa Fe, N.M. and two grandsons.

Condolence calls will be received today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Palestine firemen Vernon Hamby, Henry York, Jerry Fort, Mike Pell, Gary Missildine and Gordon Bass.
