Memorial services for Terry Lain Oxford, 70, formerly of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Bible Church, 1020 Hamlet St. (old Washington School) in Palestine. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Oxford died Tuesday in Palestine at his daughter’s residence. He was born April 19, 1936 in Athens to Edward and Katherine Hardy Oxford. He lived in Palestine for many years before moving to Conroe five years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force and had worked for the Texas Department of Corrections. He was a Christian.
Mr. Oxford was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Toni Yawn; and a brother, Don Oxford
He is survived by a son, Darrell Oxford of Palestine; two daughters, Danita Morrison of Washington and Dalaina Moth of Palestine; a brother, E.C. Oxford of Balcones; a sister, Sue Vaughn of Longview; and four grandchildren.
