Palestine High School Alumni Association

Services for Joe D. Ward, 50, of Route 1, Tennessee Colony, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Theo Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery.

Mr. Ward died Tuesday in Anderson County Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born May 22, 1936, in Tennessee Colony, a son of Earl Raymond and Edith Fay Hopkins Ward. He was a member of Montalba Baptist Church and was a rancher.

Survivors include his parents, also of Tennessee Colony.

Cousins will serve as pallbearers.

Condolence calls will be received from 6-8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
