Services for Helen Fisher Cook, 70, of Palestine will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Church with David Haynes and Benny Burlison officiating. Burial will follow in Chambers Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mrs. Cook died Thursday (February 16, 2006) at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 22, 1935 in Dallas to Sandy Iddo and Bonnie Wade Fisher. She was a 1953 graduate of Palestine High School. She married Jack Leak Cook November 28, 1954 in Palestine.

Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and a charter member of Trinity Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Cook in 1990; sons, Jack L. Cook Jr. and Orville Dean Cook; and a sister, Bonnie LaVergne Ferguson.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her son, Joe Bob Cook of Palestine; a sister, Louise Fisher Goff and husband Mike of Palestine; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Cook, Christopher Guthrie, Adam Cook, Michael Goff, Dalen Hobbs and Glenn Gusa.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
