Services for Barney J. Frazier, 66 of Palestine were at 1 p.m. today at Westwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Lane officiating. Burial followed in Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Frazier died Saturday morning at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 23, 1935, in Oakwood to Robert and Ruby Barnett Frazier.

He served in the Texas National Guard for 21 years and on the Westwood Independent School District board for nine years, with five of those years as president. He was supervisor at Wal-Mart, a member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31 and a deacon at Westwood Baptist Church.

Mr. Frazier is survived by his wife, Beth Frazier of Palestine; daughter, Donna Young of Palestine; sons, Cliff Frazier and Curtis Frazier of Palestine; sister, Jan Charron of Flint; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Frazier, Matt Frazier, Steven Frazier, Josh Frazier, Dustin Frazier, Chance Frazier, Pat Gordon and James Franklin.

Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Couch.
