Maureen Walker Bower, 82 of Bryan died Thursday at Crestview Retirement Community after a lengthy illness.  Her husband of 62 years, Robert Bower, Sr., died two days earlier in a nursing home in Austin.

Services for the couple were held Friday at Herrington / Land of Memory with Dr. Robert A. Tolson officiating.   Burial was at Palestine City Cemetery.

Mrs. Bower was born in Palestie on November 24, 1913.  She was a homemaker.  The couple moved to Bryan in 1980 after living in Houston for more than 40 years.

They are survived by their sons, Robert Bower, Jr., of Bryan and Ron Bower of Austin; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Aman of Spring; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
