Services for Sheila Rae Andress, 44 of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating.  Burial will be at Palestine City Cemetery.

Ms. Andress died Thursday at her home.  She was born in Palestine on February 20, 1952 to Thomas H. and Wilda Ray Smith Andress.  She lived in Palestine most of her life and was a member of Evangelistic Temple.

Ms. Andress graduated from Palestine High School in 1970 and was also a graduate of Sam Houston State University.  She was a journalist for a Houston newspaper and had worked for the Palestine Herald-Press.

She is survived by her father of Dallas; her mother of Palestine; and brothers, David Wright of Palestine and Hunter Andress of Rhome.

Pallbearers will be John Andress, James Andress Sr., James Andress II, Tim Dunnah, Don Plant and Bill Smith.
