Services for John R. Colley, 72, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at East Hill Cemetery with James Zobolosky officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.

Mr. Colley died Friday at Memorial Mother Frances Hospital.  He was born December 14, 1925 in Palestine to H.L. and Ammie Pearl Cook Colley.  Mr. Colley was a retired school teacher and veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3907 and a Baptist.

He is survived by cousins, David Joe Walton of Palestine and Shirley Cook Bigbe of Azle.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
