Services for Jerry H. Mitchell, 74, Palestine, are scheduled 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Bailey and Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Palestine.

Mr. Mitchell died November 23, 2008, in Palestine.

He was born August 9, 1934, in Palestine to the late Johnnie M. and Vivian Henderson Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a shopman for Missouri Pacific Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Nancy Mitchell of Palestine; one daughter, Leah Clark and husband Clint of Bentonville, Ark.; one son, Jay Mitchell of Palestine; two stepdaughters, Doni McLelland and husband Thomas of Grapeland and Kori Wells of Palestine; one stepson, James Wells and wife Courtney of Latexo; one brother, Jimmy Mitchell of Austin; three grandchildren, Connor Clark, Lauren Clark and Cason Wells.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home.
