Services for Robert Hamilton Montgomery, 64 of Houston, were held Monday at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston with the Revs. Laurence A. Gipson and Peter G. Thomas officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of George H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Montgomery died Saturday at this home.  He was born August 1, 1934, in Nacogdoches to Robert H. and Margaret Hodges Montgomery.  He was reared in Palestine and Richmond.  Mr. Montgomery attended Texas A&M University before working in Corpus Christi for McCormick Steel.  He later founded Terramar Land Developers and sold ranches for Ryan Land and Cattle Company.  He moved to Houston in 1977 and started his own company, RHM Group and had been associated with Houston Exploration for a number of years.

Mr. Montgomery is survived by his son, Robert Hamilton Montgomery III of Austin; daughter, Mimi Smith of Austin; mother, Margaret Hodges Montgomery of Lancaster; brother, Dan Hodges Montgomery of Houston; sister, Jan Osborn of Lancaster; and two grandchildren.
