Services for Jack Hale Murchison, 68, of Houston, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at New Addition Annex with the Rev. Carey Sayers officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Methodist Church in Houston.

Mr. Murchison died Saturday at his home.

He was born February 25, 1934, in Grapeland to Jack M. and Maggie Hale Murchison.

Mr. Murchison grew up in Palestine. He married Catherine Miller in 1956. He was a graduate of the University of Texas. He was an engineer in Houston. In 1968, he became an owner of Whirlwind Steel Buildings.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Murchison Ross.

Mr. Murchison is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Catherine Murchison of Houston; daughter, Jill Bokemeyer of Houston; son, Jack Miller Murchison of Houston; and five grandchildren.
