Services for Helen Russell Lively, 71, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Marc Lombard officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.

Mrs. Lively went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon.

She was born June 10, 1933 in Palestine to Martin T. and Alma Wartzech Russell. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from the Palestine post office after many years of service.

Mrs. Lively is survived by her husband, B.C. Lively of Palestine; son, Donald Ray Johnson of Palestine; daughter, Peggy Tackett and husband Marty of Irving; son, Russell Johnson and wife Kathy of Palestine; and daughter, Cynthia Firtos and husband James of Addison; stepson, Billy Lively Jr. of Palestine; and stepdaughter, Lana Robertson of Ruidoso, N.M.; brothers, Robert Russell of Amarillo and David Russell of Tyler; half-sister, Doris Kirby of Mabank; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Jason Milligan, Dr. Chad Klein, Billy Lively Jr. and Randy Lively.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Tackett and Rusty Lively.

The family will receive condolences from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
